He is Professor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University of Copenhagen. He obtained a M.Sc. from Eindhoven University of Technology and a Ph.D. in Management of Technology from Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology). He has received honors that highlight excellence in research and teaching, and he has been an invited speaker at various academic and corporate events around the globe. His work focuses on the design, organization and management of technology, innovation and entrepreneurship in general, and on openness and participation in innovation and entrepreneurial processes in particular.
